The Packaging Print Coordinator is an extremely important role for i4Color. The responsibilities include working with commercial print packaging vendors (litho, flexo & gravure) to create and maintain printing specification and color proofing profiles. This person is the primary liaison for all communications with the print vendor for items including color, file build preferences, dot gain, etc. You will also work very closely with our Prepress Systems Manager ensuring all systems are aligned for the entire packaging team.


Liaison between i4Color and all client print vendors – Understanding the design intentions of the client and working with the printer to achieve the best results on press

Hosting pre-production meetings to determine the best course of action & technical problem-solving

Interacting with account managers and clients on an on-going basis to ensure color meets the needs of the client and can be reproduced on a printing press

Manage color across all print processes (Litho, Flexo & Gravure)

Create and maintain all print vendor color profiles (including 4cp as well as all spot colors)

Create and maintain spot color calibration, including color matching as well press specifications, to all print profiles

Verify hard copy proofs for color accuracy

Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required

Must have broad packaging print experience

Communicate and answer questions in a professional and friendly manner

Resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure

Must pay meticulous attention to detail

Strong team approach, team player

Working knowledge of color RIPs (Previous ORIS experience preferred) OR the aptitude to learn color software and manage profiles in a color RIP system

Knowledge of ICC profiling a plus

High level of color understanding and manipulation

Regular attendance is essential. May be required to work overtime
